Two power frameworks: persona and chain of thought

Tell the AI who to be and how to think. Each framework has a ready-made structure you can reuse.

Persona-based prompting

“You are a [PERSONA], [YOUR TOPIC]”
You
You are a dietitian, provide a diet plan to reduce weight from 80 kg to 65 kg for a male of 36 years in 6 months.

15 kg in 26 weeks is about 0.6 kg a week (≈600 kcal/day deficit). Confirm with your doctor first.

Chain of thought

“Explain in step by step format, [YOUR TOPIC]”
You
Explain in step by step format about global warming to a high school student.

  1. Sunlight warms the Earth, which sends heat back out.
  2. Greenhouse gases trap some of that heat.
  3. We add more gases by burning coal, oil and gas.
  4. A thicker blanket warms the planet: +1.2 °C so far.
  5. Cutting emissions thins the blanket again.

About this lesson

Persona-based prompting asks the AI to answer as a specific character or professional, such as a dietitian, a teacher or a travel agent, which sets its vocabulary, depth and sense of responsibility. Chain-of-thought prompting asks for the answer in a step-by-step format, which makes explanations easier to follow and helps the model reason more accurately. The full course covers seven frameworks: priming, perspective, persona, chain of thought, question generator, tabular and comparative.
